Dam was a winner in France over hurdles @ 2.4 miles, Square Du Roule, (same Sire as Sir Gino), (Nicky Henderson trains), Square needed time to grow and mature and was a bit weak and backward last year.
After give him time to grow and mature from last season he is now available for a free lease or share purchase in 10% - 5% or 2.5% shares, only a few shares remaining, he had a few runs for experience and will be a great summer National Hunt horse. Will have a couple of runs over hurdles and then will go chasing throughout the summer jumping campaign.
In training with Grand national winning Jockey, Nigel Hawke at his 250 acre training complex in
Tiverton, Devon.
First run this season was at Warwick on the 14th April, made steady headway over the last 2 hurdles and finished like a train into 4th only beaten 1 and a half lengths, Jockey said he has come on a stone from last year, sure to win races this season.
Trainer's remarks after Warwick, "Nigel was very pleased with his run after 9 months off and a wind surgery in Feb this year, he is a much improved horse this year and will go on to win races this season".
RACE REVIEW
14th May at Newton Abbot, he ran a good race considering the trip was a bit short for him and was 25lb below the winner and 7lb wrong with the 2nd he still managed to stay on for 3rd place beaten only just over 5 lengths, good run and a good ride by James Davies again, sure to keep on improving.
Next Race will be at Stratford on the 1st July
